Rare and delicate is how I would rate it, this Beswick Pottery piece must be treated with respect, and can easily be broken.
Finding one in mint condition without any repairs or visible damage, will keep you looking for quite some time.

As I stated earlier, this is a very rare piece and you might have to wait for several years to get a good one.

This particular English Beswick Pottery piece, seldom comes up for sale in Australia.

A few interesting facts about the Oceanic Bonito:

Those of you who are reading this and live in any of the tropical waters around our planet, will be quite familiar with the Oceanic Bonito (Katsuwonus pelamis) is more commonly know as a Skipjack Tuna, it is a medium-sized, streamlined, and a fast-swimming pelagic fish, common to all warm waters around the world. It lifespan is generally between 8 to 12 years and weighs up to an impressive 34.5 kg (76 lb) per fish and 1 m (3 ft) in length.

Now that’s a good sized fish by all accounts, could you imagine the Beswick potters sculpting, painting and firing a ceramic piece, using the fishes real size,

This fish is also known as aku, arctic bonito, mushmouth, striped tuna, or victor fish depending where you are located.
